GIANT SCALE WARBIRDS ASSOCIATION
Statement of Purpose
1. Promote the hobby of radio controlled giant scale warbird model aircraft through participation in non-competitive fly-ins and public demonstrations, while encouraging sportsmanship and fellowship.
2. Promote the construction and flying of giant scale warbird model aircraft, with respect to the safety of pilots, mechanics, spectators, and property.
3. Inform the public about the history and heritage of military aircraft — through giant scale model aviation.
A Non-Profit* Organization
The Giant Scale Warbirds Assn. was organized for pilots, builders, and enthusiasts of giant scale warbirds (minimum wingspans = 60" multi-wing, 80" monoplane). Warbird aircraft can be in either civilian or military paint schemes. Membership is open to anyone interested in this segment of R/C. Our organization was founded in 1996 and is the only association promoting giant scale warbirds exclusively. We have members from 30 states.
The GSWA co-hosts 6 fly-ins per year.
All pilots, builders, and enthusiasts are invited to join our association
